Thursday Extra

Hello

It's hard to believe we've been at this for a month already and Thanksgiving is around the corner. I've asked the students to think about what they're thankful for and how they could show some appreciation for their good fortune so this is what they want to do as a class. From one meal each day over the next week they will put aside a non-perishable item and bring it to school to pass on to the food bank. So if supper includes pasta or vegetables they could bring a can or package to school. So if all students in class do this they have calculated that we will bring in 147 food items. Of course this is voluntary but I think the kids are excited about it and it keeps our good fortune in front of us.
