Language Arts - students are beginning a Performance Language Arts unit. We will be experimenting with Reader's Theatre, Choral Speaking and Storytelling. The unit will finish with a performance for the Grade 1 class and possibly the Kindergarten class. At the same time, we are finishing our poetry portfolios and preparing for a Book Report focussing on setting. Lots going on, but it is exciting!

Spelling Unit 15 due Friday.

Math - Pages 48 and 49 on using appropriate measuring tools and appropriate units is due tomorrow.

Monday Musin's

Social Studies - for Wednesday please read p42 and p43of your textbook. Review the chapter starting at page 28.

Please have your Arrow orders in to me by Tuesday.

Long weekend

We had a fantastic day skiing and I hope you kids take advantage of the opportunity to go again next year.

Grade 5 have a great long weekend. I hope you enjoy your time off but remember to keep reading and a take some time to get outside and have fun!!

LA - Poet presentations have been rescheduled to begin on Friday morning.

Fantastic Friday

Language Arts - Students are working on their poet presentations. Presentations begin Tuesday.

Math - page 141 and page 142 of the math booklet are due Monday. Math quiz on Patterns and Relations unit on Wednesday, February 14.

Parents of students who still have outstanding work will be called next week. Most students have caught up on what they need to finish - great job!
